My Girls

I never knew how much love my heart could hold for two very special, very sweet little girls.

I love being able to witness their relationship as sisters.

They are so fun to be around and bring so much joy to Matt and I.

I love being their mom and I love being able to spend each and every day with them!

Finlee loves Jaelyn.
She always wants to cuddle with her big sister when she's in trouble or needs an extra love or two.

And I'm certain the feeling is mutual.
Jaelyn is always talking about her "Finner-bug" and watching out for her best interest.

I couldn't imagine my life without them. They are my sweetest blessings!

Celebrating Chaseton

If there is one thing that I am thankful for, its definitely Matt's job. He has found so many new opportunities with this job, met a lot of great friends, and is truly happy with what he does every day. The people that he works with are so sweet and great to be around. They have always been so welcoming to the girls and I and I would be lying if I didn't say that they are one of the main reasons that I love where he works.

Last week, they threw Matt and I a shower for Chaseton. Orignally, it was suppose to be a surprise for me but Matt, bless his heart, is kind of a bad liar. (One of the ladies that use to work at Matt's branch that I am close with also mentioned the shower to me but by then I had already figured it out.) They did, however, have a "cake-off" competition. Two of the people that Matt worked with each made cakes and we all judged them to see who made the best cake.

Jake's Cake: Apple Caramel Cake

Brandy's Cake: Lemon and Chocolate with Peanut Butter Frosting

Shoes that Brandy made for the top of her cake. The C is for Chaseton. :)

Both cakes were delicious but Brandy's cake ended up winning. In Jake's defense, his punch was so good! We had a lot of fun celebrating our little boy! We were blessed with so many cute and thoughtful gifts and we are so thankful!

Our T-Ball Star

Jaelyn has been playing T-Ball for a few weeks now. She gets so excited when we tell her its game night. She always talks the whole day about how she wants to catch the ball and be the first batter. She really seems to enjoy it!

Jaelyn's Biggest Fan. Jaelyn loves to have fans in the stands. She smiles so big when she recognizes people she loves there to watch her!

Running home!

Lookin' good!

T-Time!

Chaseton

Chaseton and I had our very last specialist appointment today! I enjoy going to these appointments because I get to see my babies (Finlee and Chaseton) via ultrasound at least five times throughout my pregnancy rather than the normal one time with a regular pregnancy. The reason I am there isn't always so pleasant to think about but I get to see them, nonetheless.

Doctor Evans and his ultrasound tech, Terry, are always so kind, comforting, and welcoming. She decided today, being my last appointment, to let me see Chaseton in 3-D. I love doing this because you can see his features so much better than just the normal black and white sonogram. Here's our little man:

You can see his face, nose, and lips so well! I told Matt he looks just like me, even a little chunky. :)

For all of you sonogram experts, this is suppose to be as if you are looking straight down at his face.

And of course, his profile shot.

Chaseton has grown a lot since my last appointment! He currently weighs 6lbs, 8oz and will gain around a half a pound a week. His birthday is set for July 7th so we'll see what he weighs when he comes!

Chaseton,
I cannot wait to meet you! I am so happy and truly blessed that you will be joining our family. Daddy and I can't wait to love on you, hold you, and dream about who you will become. Your big sisters are very excited to be having a baby brother, too, so watch out! I know Daddy has dreamt about you coming to our family for a long time and I can't wait to see the both of you become buddies. Doctor Evans told me today that with such a strong name like Chaseton, you will have a lot of growing to do. I have all the faith in the world that you will become a man of God, just like your daddy, and I am excited to see how your personality and faith will blossom over the years. In two short weeks, you will make your debut into this world and we can't wait to see you, buddy!
Love,
Mommy

Dress-Up Take Two

There is nothing more entertaining for Matt and I than when the girls decide its time to play dress-up. Its rather hilarious to watch. They put on the funniest things and have a "fashion show" at which they "strut" their stuff. Matt and I sit on the couch and laugh so hard at them. They bring so much joy to our little family!

So cute!

Jaelyn is workin' it. :)

I love this face!

They decided they wanted to dance with daddy..

..he's always such a good sport with them!

Wohletz Farm Fresh: Strawberry Patch

On Friday, their last open day of the season, Matt and I took the girls to a strawberry patch in Lawrence to pick our own strawberries! I had been wanting to take the girls to do something such as this for awhile and I happened to come across the Wohletz Family Farm website on a whim!

On our way! They were very excited to go pick strawberries!

The family that owns the farm and strawberry patch were so kind! The strawberries are normally $2/pound but since it was their last day for strawberry picking for the year, they were running a special for $1/pound! We will definitely be going back next year!

Finlee found a strawberry!

There were still a lot of great berries left!

I love strawberries!

Pickin' away!

...and eatin' away! :) Finlee loved eating the strawberries. Her hands were stained red after awhile!

Jaelyn with her bucket. She did a great job picking her strawberries!

Jaelyn's bucket full.

Strawberry plants for rows and rows!

Jaelyn ate a berry or two too!

The Wohletz farm is located in a beautiful spot in the country! I encourage you to visit their website, http://www.wohletzfarmfresh.com/Wohletz_Farm_Fresh%21/Welcome.html and sign up for e-mail notifications with them so you can be sure and head to their farm and pick a few strawberries next season! We had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back next year!
