Random

We've been up to quite a bit around here! This post is about our many random happenings in the past few days!

Happy Birthday Uncle Marty!
Most of you know who "Uncle Marty" is but for those who don't, he is one of the very first friends that Matt met when we moved to Topeka. Matt worked with him at Sears when they both use to work there. He will always be a very special friend of ours! When Jaelyn was born, Marty took the day off of work and was there the entire day, waiting for her to arrive. Since he has always been dedicated to our kids, we call him "Uncle" Marty! Marty's birthday was this past week and we celebrated with him at Cici's Pizza! Jaelyn wanted to make him a card. I thought she did a great job so I wanted to share her card. She wrote everything, I just told her how to spell the words.

Like Mother, Like Daughter.
Matt spoils me but he has always spoiled our girls too! Jaelyn seen him rubbing my feet the other day and begged him to rub her feet too. Of course, he did! If there is one thing I know, its that our girls will know how they need to be treated. Because of Matt, they will know that they are loved not only by how he pampers them but by showing them.

Fruit Loops and Finlee.
Finlee has always been my eater. She loves to eat! She isn't really a picky eater but she is particular about what she wants and when she wants it, especially during breakfast time. Right now, she is stuck on eating Fruit Loops every morning.

Baby Nails.
Matt is a very creative and artistic person! He doesn't always like me to share this, but he can paint nails with the best of them! He always adds a special design. My friends think its incredible how great of a job he does! With Chaseton's arrival soon approaching, I wanted to do blue nails. We then decided to add little baby feet on my nails. Matt did a great job! :) Next up: blue toes that say, "It's a Boy!"

Finlee-Grace and Friends.
We met up with some friends yesterday morning at the museum grounds here in Topeka. We made breakfast and enjoyed a nice brunch. We went hiking afterwards on an Alphabet Hunt. We hiked over 2 miles! The girls did such a great job on the trails as did I, being 9 months preggo! It was a beautiful day! You can read more about the Alphabet Hunt HERE on my friend's blog!

Finlee is getting so tall!

Together Time.
My time as a mom to just my two darling girls is slowly fading. I've been trying to spend most of my days just playing with them, taking them places, and enjoying every minute I can with them. Many changes are coming our way soon and I want to be sure to squeeze in as much together time as possible with them before Chaseton arrives. Today, we went to the library, to story-time, and to the park to play, have a picnic, and catch bugs!

Finlee, swinging around.

Jaelyn, looking for bugs. I bought her a butterfly house and bug catching tools at the dollar store the other day. She has been begging me to go on a bug hunt to catch bugs! We had a hard time finding some but when we did, we had a hard time catching them. To solve her problem, Jaelyn decided to smash the bugs and then catch them! She even went as far as trying to get them off the bottom of her shoe so she could collect them. A dead bug is still a bug, right? :)

Down the slide she goes!

Trying to trap an ant!

My girls.

Enjoying our picnic.

That's just a few of the random things that we've been up to! Chaseton is set to arrive in 9 days!
We'll see what happens! Keep our family in your prayers!

T-Ball: Take Two

Jaelyn had one of her last T-Ball games last night.
She has improved so much over the weeks she has been on a team and she really enjoys playing!

Finlee, Jaelyn's Biggest Fan

Finlee made herself comfy during the game. The love her daddy has for her is evident.

I love how she is holding his hand.

Jaelyn is up to bat. Matt ended up buying her, her own pink bat.
She is trying to hold it just like Matt taught her.

Big swing!

Good hit!

Finlee Grace.

She loves to wear daddy's hat!

During her second time to bat, one of her coaches showed her where to put her hands. It wasn't quite where Matt showed her where to put them when they were practicing together. The coach agreed that she could put them wherever she wanted to and she was ready for her turn.

Her coach pitched her the first ball.

And she hit it on her first try and shocked her coach! She has hit off of a pitch when Matt has pitched to her before but never during a game. Matt and I were so proud of her! She did such a great job. I love putting her into a new situation, not sure of how she will react. She always ends up exceeding my expectations and does such a great job! She is slowly becoming my social butterfly.

Good game!

Jaelyn and her team about to receive their medals.

My girl..already done with her first summer of T-Ball.

Receiving her medal from coach Laurie. It may only be T-Ball, but I am SO proud of her.

Go Bluebirds!
