House

Well, we got a call back today from our realtors and...

Our First Home

...we got the house! The owners accepted our offer and after pending inspections and closing, we'll have a beautiful house to make into our first home! We are all so excited and can't wait to take this big HUGE step as a family! We are already planning new and fun ideas that we can conquer as soon as we move in. Thank you all for your prayers and knowledge as we made the decisions that we did. And thank you for the prayers as we continue to make big decisions and take the steps towards owning our first home!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello family and friends!

Tis' the season for our lives to get busier than they already are! I wanted to blog to update everyone, just in case my life really does get out of hand.

We'll soon be celebrating Finlee's 1st birthday! I can't believe how fast time really has flown by. She is talking more, becoming more mobile, smiling more, and even eating more! We just love her bright smile and her sweet personality. We look foward to celebrating her being a year old, even Jaelyn is excited.

This news, I am so excited about. Miss Shelbey. She is moving back to Kansas and possibly close to me! I am so happy that I will get to see a lot more of her. I really miss having her around. I admire her for her beauty and courage to be outgoing and follow her dreams. Even if they lead her to every state in our country. :)

Soon after we'll possibly be heading to Austin, Texas for our first ever family vacation during Spring Break with both of the girls in tow. We're all looking foward to a little getaway from Topeka, school, and work. (This trip will also be during Matt and I's 22nd birthdays!)

Why do I say possibly, you ask? Our vacation is pending, depending on the situation of our house. Remember the big decisions? Well in this house buying venture, we've put a few offers in, been declined, kept searching, and finally found a different house that we love. We're currently still waiting on the call-back to see if they accept our offer on this house or not. Keep praying!

Next comes Jaelyn's 3rd birthday. Yes, I said THIRD birthday. Can you believe it? My baby will be three years old. She is becoming more outgoing everyday and has a heart full of love-even for her sister. I love her personality and her ability to make me laugh and smile, no matter what. She is so precious and I just love watching her grow and learn. She loves to pretend, imagine, and dream and I can't help but do it with her. She'll soon be off to college before I know it, I know. :)

Finals for school will come fast after that, finishing up yet one more semester for Matt and I. Matt will be done soon and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us.

Between showers and parties, we'll be celebrating the wedding and graduations of our bestfriends, Logan and Allison. With Matt being best man and I the matron of honor, we can't help but be involved. We are so happy for them yet very sad for them to move on with their lives...together. We'll miss them but know that they will only be a few hours away. We're trying to shove as many memories and laughs as we can into a short time and we really enjoy seeing them so lovey and happy with each other.

Again, we all have to grow up sometime. :)

Before we know it, August will be back and we'll be back in school again.

All the while taking care and raising up our beautiful family!
Now that I've summarized our whole Spring and Summer, would you agree that we'll be busy? We still ask for your prayers for sanity and safety and house buying and we hope to see more of all of you in the near and dear future!

Thanks & Love!

Big Decisions

Well, the time has come for our family to begin making a BIG decision and overcome a new milestone. Matt and I will soon be making many big decisions in the next year or so, actually.

I guess we all have to grow up sometime.

Lately, we've been looking at a few houses around Topeka and are highly considering finally buying a house after being married four years. But, with all of the responsibility we already have, it makes the decision seem that much bigger. We've really been considering everything and putting every piece of knowledge and wisdom we have into this decision.

I've started figuring out that life is about the choices you make and how you make them. If you make the choice that's right for you, you tend to be a little happier in life. One of my bestfriends is the perfect example of this.

We still have no idea what we're going to do. But atleast we're doing it together and we're not alone.

I just ask that you pray for us while we decide whether or not to buy a house or even move at all.

Matt is also almost done with school, he only has a bout a year left. He will need the good Lord's guidance on where to go, where to apply for a job, and how to lead his family. So please pray for him too. Cheers to being adults. :)

In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:6

Thanks to you all!

Photo Booth Friday

For this week's photo booth Friday, I decided share two pictures that I just love, but they aren't from this week. These two pictures are of the girls when they were around the same age. They don't look too much alike but they do resemble each other. I just love to admire them at this age and I hope you will too. Enjoy!

New Hobby

I recently decided to take part in a new hobby. I have been thinking about starting it for awhile so Matt gave me a little push and bought me an embroidery/sewing machine for Valentine's Day and...I love it! I have always loved learning how to sew with my Grandma and this is just as fun. I have already made a few projects that I'm proud of.

Aprons for the Girl's and I

I can just load the machine, sit back, and watch it do it's job. I have come up with many new projects that I'd like to try, but I'm just trying to learn the grooves of my new machine for now.

I made this apron, just for fun.

I'm excited because I can make almost any gift for any type of person. So if you have a birthday coming up, you know what you're getting!

A shirt that I made for Jaelyn.

My machine is very nice and so fun to use! Thanks babe!
So if any of you have any gifts or projects that need completion, you know who to contact!

Mix all of the ingredients together in a big bowl. Serve with chocolate syrup if desired. Yummy!
